Trivia[]
- The design of franchise's logo[6] is a simultaneous homage to both ThunderCats and Jurassic Park, with its animation specifically referencing the former.
- Smashozaurs' premise and designs are very reminiscent of the similarly-themed Battlesaurs from Toy Story That Time Forgot. Much like the Battlesaurs, an extraterrestrial anomaly mutated the savage times of the dinosaurs into neon techno wasteland, evolving the dinosaurs into humanoid forms with dark battle armor
- Both ideas are pastiches of Dinosaucers and the general trend of mutant humanoid heroes popularized during the 1980s and 1990s.

- According to an early iteration of the script shared on Twitter by Dan Milano, the game would have originally featured a character (that would have been the one to possess Casino instead of TriTops) that was a PaRappa the Rapper-style version of Raptorious.[7]
- Also according to Milano, the games' debut episode (and thus presumably the game as well) was originally titled "Dino Destruction: Next Gen".[8]
- When Casino, High Five, and Miko all play the video game together, Five's and Miko's characters (StegaZaur[4] and an unnamed pterodactyl)[5] are mistakenly labelled as TriTops.[9]
